Condition: Wear on the bindings, the spine of 1 volume is damaged (see photo). The interiors show minor foxing. Binding is fair, interior good.

Jacob Cats (10 November 1577 - 12 September 1660) was a Dutch poet, jurist and politician. Cats is also known as Father Cats, because of his mostly didactic poems. His motto was: “Dikwijls ziet men dat de zotten, Met de wijze lieden spotten; Maar wie zich naar wijsheid stelt, Laat de gekken ongekweld.”
