Pearl seal, sphinx and lotus flower, carnelian, L = 14.6 mm
Achaemenid Empire, 5th - 4th century B C, Northern Levant
Stamp seal / jewellery bead with slightly convex seal surface,
Back notched axisymmetrically Perforation along the seal base
Sphinx with a human crowned head and open wings.
Above, a lying crescent moon In front of it, a lotus flower vertically.
Carnelian 14.6 mm x 11.0 mm x 5.1 mm
Condition: Intact and uncleaned
