Dish (3) - Ceramic - China - Second half 20th century

3 ceramic plates by the Chinese artist Xia Dewu, born in 1957 in Shandon Qingdao. They all have the same size and depict: a cow, a female flute player and a crab. The artist studied the art of ceramics at the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, he is a member of the Chinese arts & Crafts Society and the Chinese Ceramic Artist Association and currently a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Two bear a seal on the front and one is signed and dated on the back (03 - 75). They all measure 25.5 in diameter.
