Oil painting on cardboard depicting a still life with flowers.
The pictorial quality of the silver pitcher, with the reflection of the lace on which it rests, is truly remarkable.
Signed ‘Ghelarducci’ on bottom left, dated 1951:
With dedication on the back.
Giulio Ghelarducci (Livorno 1883 - Florence 1970) was an Italian painter.
Over time this painter, with his brilliant and lively palette, improved the technical aspect of the subjects he drew, which were the typical subjects of traditional Livornese art.
At a young age he joined the artists of the Club La Boheme, a bohemian-cultural group supporting the work of Giacomo Puccini. Thus he came into contact with the so-called Livorno impressionists, lead by the figure of Plinio Nomellini.
