Les Noëls Bourguignons, also known as Les Noeï de Guy Barôzaï, written and composed by Bernard de la Monnoye, were a huge success as soon as they appeared. Barôzai was the name of a winemaker who wore a pink stocking, this name was later extended to all the winemakers of the city of Dijon.
