The two very rare columns are composed of plutonic magmatic rocks of the genus black amphibole syenite and large crystals of clear feldspar. Their origin is rather in Ancient Egypt. The shaped columns were made between the 8th and 12th century. One of the columns is slightly cracked. The height of the columns is approximately 40cm, each mounted on a wooden base and covered with metal (not specified) 6.5cm high. Due to their weight of approximative 6kg per column, it is necessary to proceed in Leuven if possible or they can be sent abroad.
