A nice Akkadian cylinder seal featuring two men holding daggers fighting a lion from the front and back, with a life tree in the middle, from Iran or the Northern Mesopotamian region of the Middle East, dating to around c. 2500 – 600 BC. In very good condition. The high-quality baked impression is also included.

The Supplier warrants that is has obtained this lot in a legal manner.
Purchased by the current owner from Munich auction in 2019. Ex old German collection, formed in the mid 20th century.
