Willem Witsen (1860-1923) - 's-Gravenhekjes te Amsterdam

Willem Witsen (1860-1923) - 's-Gravenhekjes te Amsterdam
Etching - Signed in pencil at the bottom right - circa 1911

Beautiful etching by Willem Witsen (1860-1923) from circa 1911 depicting the 's Gravenhekje.

On this etching we see the Oude Schans, along the transfer ferry at the Montelbaanstoren, next to the drawbridge between the Kalkmarkt and the 's-Gravenhekje in Amsterdam.

At the bottom right the work is signed in pencil and in the lower left in pencil is the Wisselingh number of this etching (466), perhaps that this is a proof, outside the numbered edition of 100?

Boon 144, Van Wisselingh 466, Groot 153

Condition of the etching is good, only a superficial crease in the left bottom corner (see pictures).

Frame is also in good condition except for some small dents.

Ready to hang up at home!

Insurance is registered and insured.
