Théodore Faullain de Banville, born 14 March 1823 in Moulins and died 13 March 1891 in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, was a French poet, playwright and drama critic. Famous for the Odes funambulesques and Les Exilés, he is nicknamed "the poet of happiness".
