A large original Collotype by Picasso. Provenance: a small edition drawn by Picasso in 1943 and printed in Paris by Duval on high-quality paper in the mid-1950s; from a private family collection in Belgravia, central London.
The print, which demonstrates Picasso's distinctive style, is very well preserved. It has been stored in an archive and therefore not exposed to light throughout the nearly 70 years since it was printed.
Picasso prints from this period are increasingly difficult to find as the majority are now in institutions and private collections. An example from the same edition is held by the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
Taking into consideration its scarcity and value, the print will be carefully and professionally packaged with protective wooden boards, insured, and shipped with tracking. A signature will be required on delivery.
Picasso is one of the world's most celebrated artists.
