Description
Prehistoric, Paleolithic Flint Paleolithic Proto-biface 120 x 89 mm - (1)
Vroeg paleolithisch, ongeveer 800.000 BP. - Africa

Made from a nicely coloured silex tuber. These tools are considered transitional pieces between the former chopping tools and the bifaces that were processed all around. Characteristic are the preservation of a large part of the cortex and the minimum of flakes to achieve a pointed shape. These proto-bifaces are not often found in large assemblies.
No restorations, in perfect condition.
