This Chaili has a wonderful colour, typical Caucasian; powerful, bright colours.
The pattern is recognisable by the chain of octagonal medallions.
With the typical horizontal hooks.
Nice full wool and an even higher pile.
Purple is an expensive and rare colour, especially if it also has a real vegetable base, such as this one. Not synthetic. Natural vegetable dye
does not discolour and synthetic dye does; it turns a pale grey.
The blue is made from the indigo plant.
Also have a look at the pistachio colour and the camel colour, from undyed camel wool.
The edge is undamaged and original. A white background with shamdan mashaal ornament - fire and fire torch. Mazdaistic (Zoroastic) symbols.
