Ancient Egyptian Steatite Scarab with an Ankh
Egypt, Third Intermediate Period, ca. 25th Dynasty, ca. 747 - 656 B.C.

This is a nice ancient Egyptian green glazed steatite scarab.
The scarab is inscribed with an ankh flanked by two maat feathers,
above a sun disk with two uraei and beneath a neb sign.
These hieroglyphs could be read as a cryptogram for the god Amun Ra.
