Vintage Champagne cooler, on two sides with the brand name MONTEBELLO and the family coat of arms, also equipped with beautiful Art-Deco handles, carried out in nickel-plated or chrome-plated brass.
Montebello Champagne was made at Chateau de Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the company was founded in 1834 by Alfred de Montebello.
This highly prized Champagne was the choice of house on the Titanic, as well as the choice during the coronation of Tsar Nicholas the third.
Later the name, led by René Chayoux (1892-1969), was changed to Ayala-Montebello.
This nice cooler is still fine to use, dimensions are: 19.5 cm high, diameter top is also 19.5 cm (including the handles 23.5 cm.)
