Rare Roman white ware elegant form wine jug with single handle and a cream slip surface.

The Romans used a high density clay for making this typical cream slip -white ware which was found in Northern Europe (Germany to France) and small areas of England at that time.

Height: 19 cm
Diameter: 12 cm

Condition: very good condition, very nicely modelled and rare to find intact. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images for own impression.
