Okimono in elephant ivory, in a single block depicting a gardener with shoots of "pieris japonica" flowers that fall from the perforated basket.
A bunch of "Pieris japonica" flowers is placed on the shoulder, very refined execution of the carving with great details.
Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912).
Signed under the base.
