Rare lot of 80 old ocular prostheses (various colours)
In its cardboard box
Glass and porcelain.
The eyeballs of tinted glass of different size and shades, with small blood vessels painted on conjunctivitis reproduce the iris thanks to pigments of all shades. The half-shell shaped prostheses are irregular. The various sizes and colours are intended to adapt to the patients (broken faces), who were enucleated in the trenches and on the battlefield by shrapnel at the end of the First World War.
