A stunning 14 carat solid gold gentlemans' manual wristwatch manufactured by Jaeger LeCoultre in 1950s. This watch is in excellent overall condition and presents very well indeed on the wrist. The elegant case has a Florentine bezel and looks great as does the dial. Freshly oiled and adjusted, the movement is running strongly and keeping time. The watch is triple signed, on the dial, case and movement.
Case: 14 carat solid gold in very good condition, measuring approximately 32.3 mm across, excluding the unsigned crown and 36 mm from lug to lug. The inside of the case is signed "LeCoultre" and hallmarked as 14 carat solid gold, as is the outside. The case shows any signs of careful and probably infrequent use over the years but absolutely no signs of abuse, dents or scratches of any significance that I could see to draw to your attention. There is a presentation engraving on the rear cover.
Dial: in superb condition, Florentine gold motived original untouched, the hours are marked by gold marks as instead of numeral and a subsidiary seconds dial with cross hairs is located above six o'clock. The dial is signed "LeCoultre and bears the JLC logo". The hands are in great shape and the crystal is clean and clear.
Movement: cal. 480/CW LeCoultre 17 jewel movement oiled and adjusted by my watchmaker running strongly and keeping time.
Strap: fitted with a new brown lizard grain strap which attached to the watch measures approximately 225 mm from buckle tip to end with case
CONDITION : Pre-owned like new
