Centaur carved in Carrara marble.

The Centaur is a creature from Greek mythology.
This mythological creature, half man and half horse, had the particularity of possessing all the virtues and all the defects of mankind.
This “important” work of art is an original creation, with attention to the smallest details in classic style in its dynamic and lively position, and was created in the Todini workshop.

This sculpture is part of a series of museum-like looking works, created at Todini’s workshop, which the Lazio region designated in 2011 as a workshop “of high aesthetic and cultural value”, granting the use of the origin and quality mark.
In 2015, the Osservatorio dei Mestieri d’Arte in Florence (OMA) included them in the list of excellence of Italian trades.
