Nicolas de Launay, born on 20th September 1739 in Paris and died on 2nd March 1792, is a French engraver.
The 18th century was the golden age of French engraving. Art of the “courteous society”, Love art, engraving is popular with collectors because it allows to build up a collection of art where the paintings of the great masters are reproduced.
