A large and beautifully executed bronze statue of a Tunisian musician by Emile Louis Picault.
It depicts a standing, music-making male figure.

It is one of the expressive works of the famous French sculptor Emile Louis Picault (Paris, 1833-1915).
The work is signed on the base with "E. Picault" and features the inscription "Fait a Tunis" (made in Tunis).

Fine details such as gold earrings and crystal eyes.
It is multi-coloured patinated (brown and red) and it is in a good antique condition. The strings of the instrument are loose.
