Headdress of a Miao woman (or man?). Silk and velvet, embroidered with silver thread. Decorated with seven Miao silver ornaments. (Miao silver is a silver, copper and nickel alloy with a silver fineness of 40%). Cotton lining.
The Miao, also called Hmong, are a mountain tribe living in Southeast Asia (Western China, Laos and Vietnam ).
A bag with Chinese characters is included. Silk embroidery.
Both pieces are in good condition. The blue lint attached to the cap has faded.
