Pair of Empire four-light candelabra on patinated bronze with reinforced marble plinth, 1st half of the 19th century, with later functional electrification
Rare and elegant set of late French Empire, probably Charles X period, bronze candelabras with three armed and one central socket. The Candelabri are based on elaborately sculpted Statuary black marble underlined by bronze frames.
There are guilt bronze anthemion motif on each of the recessed rectangular plinth. The candelabras are elegantly decorated with fluting, bay laurel leaves on classical Dorian columns. Please bear in mind that only three of the glass shades have survived.
Well preserved with great quality, good size and very heavy.
