Beautiful and colorfull Kutani-ware porcelain jar (tsubo) decorated with a coloured glaze changing from yellow, green and white towards very dark blue near the bottom.
By the famous ceramist Kutani Masahiko (Tokuda Yasokichi III, 1933-2009).
In original signed box.
Dark red bottom mark: Kutani Masahiko.
Kutani Masahiko is the artist name of the master potter Tokuda Yasokichi III (1933-2009).
In 1988 he adopted the name Yasokichi III and in 1997 he became a ‘living national treasure’
