Feminine Kongo fetish from the Yombe group. These statuettes are used for divination, in order to heal the ill, which explains the mirrored loads, to ward off the evil eye.
This fetish presents a hieratic posture. The head is of an oval shape, the carving of the feet is very detailed. The feminine figurine is wearing two bracelets are the wrists.
Wood with a honey coloured patina of wear. Organic load covered with mirror. With kaolin on the eyes. Black polychromy on the hairdo.
