Kachina Tableta
Hemis type with tableta.

Wood, skin, pigments, horsehair and feathers.
Dimensions: 72 cm x 52 cm x 1 cm.

Ceremonial Kachina with tableta, probably individual. Originally from Rio Grande, a region in the east, the Kachina that this doll represents is probably one of the most admired ones, especially during the festivity of the Niman (the “homecoming” dance, which takes place in July).

The tableta does not have its leather mask anymore.
