Stone of organic origin like amber, coral, cultured pearls...

This comes from the fossilised shell of a variety of ammonite which is only found in one place in the world, in Alberta, Canada. A very rare stone.

Superb iridescent colour. Stunning patterns. Two faces (rare).
Doublet-mounted stone. The stone is bonded to a natural mineral base. The surface is polished by hand and not covered with epoxy resin, which might crack or yellow over time.
