Hans Jochem Bakker (1948) is a self-taught artist from an old artist family. He is inspired by Salvador Dalí, Miró and Picasso. He has a special interest in birds, horses and women.
This theme is not fixed in advance, in a manner of speaking it only arises when the brush touches the blank canvas for the first time. As spontaneous as possible, honest, straight from the passionate artist's heart. A completed story doesn't even exist. Everything is moving, and that is also the main reason for continuing to paint.
In addition to the greater freedom and thus the possibility to respond immediately, to respond to what arises under the hand, there is also room to pay attention to the composition, the structure and the material. This completes the painting process and the painting becomes a unity of form, color and movement.
Extremely decorative, large-scale painting,
from the painter mentioned above,
reinforced metal inner frame.
It depicts an African warrior who has fought many battles. He looks at himself with reverence,
probably looking at the wizard.
Signature in the middle at the bottom, in capital letters.
