Magnificent antique Naginata from the Edo period (1600-1868), signed "Houkinokami Fujiwara Nobutaka". Nobutaka originally signed as Nobuteru on his work. At the age of 34, he received the title of Houkinokami and became the third generation Nobutaka in his school. He served the Owari Tokugawa family. The Tokugawa family was a Shogunate family, which indicates that Nobutaka was a famous sword maker known for his work at the time.

The blade is accompanied by the export permit, it is registered at the prefecture of cultural affairs in Japan.
The condition of the blade is excellent and there are very few scratches. The signature is very well preserved and the blade is in old polishing.
Please appreciate this absolutely magnificent midnight Hamome Gunome, it gives all the more depth to the inner beauty of the blade.
This Naginata is imposing and it retains in it a discipline as well as a prestigious know-how recognised as such.
