**** Very beautiful piece *****

Magnificent Katana from the Edo period (1600-1868) attributed to the famous school "Jyumyo". The JYUMYO school has its origins in Yamato and moved to the province of Mino in the KAMAKURA period. The tradition continued for centuries until the end of the Edo period. "JYUMYO" means lifetime or longevity. As its meaning is so full of hope, their swords were prized as a gift celebrated to the great families of DAIMYO among the society of SAMURAI.

This sword is accompanied by an original certificate of judgment (Kicho level) from the NBTHK (Nihon bijutsu token hozon kyokai) Japanese sword preservation and registration company, thus guaranteeing its authenticity, its origin and its attribution to the blacksmith. The general condition is very good, the blade is in old polishing, there are some scratches (please observe the photos).
Please enjoy the absolutely sublime Hamon Gunome midare of this blade, it gives an even deeper aspect to the inner beauty of the sword. The general condition of the Koshirae is very good. The Saya scabbard shows signs of wear on the Koiguchi. It is accompanied by a midnight blue sageo in good condition. The Tsuba guard is in very good condition. The Tsuka handle is very beautiful and in very good condition, we can see two Menuki there with as a representation of the flowers, the Fuchi is really very beautiful and is in excellent condition, various characters appear there symbolising the Japaese peasantry and the nobility, the Kashira is also in good condition. The same-Hada ray skin base in good condition with wear, it is covered with a brown Tsukamaki.
