Antique English Sundial solid Bronze

English horizontal sundial dated Feb. 1730, see the photo, and signed W. Dounton (Dounton Castle?), the latitude of sundial is about 51°30’-52°, latitude of Dounton Castle.
The sundial have many details:
- the name of the months,
- the values of the equation of time,
- the names of many cities with the corresponding time,
- in the division of the hours we see the notches every 2 minutes
The builder is Charles Bassalleg - Engineer
In the past, the gnomon has probably been relocated.

It measures about 22.9x22.9x13 cm
