Antique large sized wooden statue of a shepherd, probably of 19th century *made in Piedmont or South Tyrol*.
* the dating and provenance of the work are doubtful, this is only my personal opinion.
In good condition, considering their age.
There are ancient and widespread woodworm damages and small defects, as shown in photography. As you can see, the statue has been repainted in modern times. The buyer can either leave it as it is or return it to its original colour with a simple paint stripping.
Dimensions: height 72 cm
Width (at arms level): 25 cm
The statue probably belonged to a nativity scene, you can see that under the crossed hands once probably there was a stick that also served as a support for the statue. When the stick got lost, a paperclip was attached to his back in recent times so that it could be hung on the wall.
