Very good condition, see description - 760×320×320 mm

A huge, spectacular Arita vase from the middle Meiji period (1880-90).

Very nicely potted into a slender shape, typical of the period.

Opulent decoration with symmetrical scenes painted on both sides, inside the main cartouchers: a shogun on horseback, followed by a woman attendant, in a landscape of pine and blooming plum trees.

In the smaller cartouches above, landscapes with water, mountains and pavilions.

Between the two figural scenes, a luxuriant natural decoration of different flowers, maple leaves and pheasants. A variety of flowers are also painted on the inside of the wide trumpet neck.

Painting in the rich colors of the Arita palette, with many details highlighted in gold.

Very good condition, no damages.
