Description
Jorgen Mogensen - Royal Copenhagen - iconic Danish art dishes
Denmark - 1965 - Stoneware

A classic pair of Danish hand-decorated heavy stoneware dishes in earth, raw umber and mottled grey tones with Sung glaze, model nos. 21871 and 21872, both from 1965. From the same series, the larger dish has a scarab design, the smaller more abstract. Marked on the base with the Royal Copenhagen motif (three blue waves), with incised initials JM for Jørgen Mogensen. The dishes are factory first quality in near mint condition. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Dimensions: 21cm x 16cm x 3.5cm (1.4kg) and 15.5cm x 15.5cm x 3.5cm (1.1kg).

These iconic decorative dishes would make a fine addition to any mid-century Scandinavian collection, for use in the living room, kitchen, cafe or restaurant.

I always pack with great care (see reviews) and send securely with insurance.
