This manual has many sections with detailed descriptions and color drawings of uniformed military personnel. Includes details of insignia, epaulettes, hats, etc. worn by U.S., Allied and enemy soldiers & officers during WW II. Intended as a handy in-the-field reference for U.S. troops. Published in Oct. 1943. Jointly prepared by the U.S. Military Intelligence Service and the Division of Naval Intelligence. Also contains other useful information, including pronunciation guidelines, officer rankings and some foreign language terms for officer titles and ranks. Must be >200 pages, including the front and back covers and section tabs. The manual has a shoe lace through punched hole binding, commonly used in WW II era U.S. military manuals.
