French Officer Flintlock pistol Louis XVI TYPE ( last quarter of the XVIII century) . Steel half half eight fold barrel . Plain steel garrisons.Plain flintlock lock . Plain military stock with SILVER scutcheon on back ( tiny piece missing) . Walnut plain stock ( small boss near sideplate).Working fine in the two positions.Wale bone original rod with steel cap and steel cleaning end ( original).

At this period officers continued to used a lot of various models , sometime from civil origin.In use in the ancient continental XVIII century warfare.
