Two rare small samurai travelling hats (jingasa). Probably for samurai ningyo dolls. One red lacquered, on the outside elegantly decorated with a koi fish swimming up against a waterfall. The downside black lacquered. Height: 4.5 cm; Diameter: 27.8 cm
The second one with a rough black surface, gold leaf lacquered with 3 lines and an emblem in the middle. In the front a black lacquered circle, probably representing the moon. The downside black lacquered, randomly decorated with gold sprinkles, representing stars in a dark moonless night.

Height: 6.5 cm Diameter 25.2. Both in good original condition.
