Offered is an absolutely beautiful and well functioning Marantz SD 4000 Sendust Alloy/3 head 2 speed cassette deck and this really perfect deck comes from the year 1978. All the features on this beautiful vintage Marantz deck work as they should. This deck has been completely checked by a specialist in the field of vintage audio equipment and put in a top condition by him. He replaced all the strings, lubricated vital parts and demagnetized the heads. This vintage Marantz deck has Sendust Alloy 3 head including rear control. It also features Compuskip, REC Mute, Dolby NR, MPX filter. A special feature is that it has 2 band speeds (4.75 and 9.5 cm / sec), which were also on tape recorders of well-known audio brands such as Akai, Revox, Teac and the like in the 70s. This beautiful deck is a perfect piece of high-quality craftsmanship, fully functional with a powerful pure and voluminous sound. The main features of this Marantz SD 4000 are: 3 Separate heads and off-tape monitoring, mechanical 3-digit tape counter, manual tape type selection and suitable for normal, chrome, ferrochrome and metal tapes, belt-driven single-capstan transport. To create live recordings, this deck has 2 microphone inputs to connect microphones with a jack connector. Minor signs of wear are present but are absolutely not bothersome.
