A beautiful ancient ancestor figurine, richly detailed and carved, with an excellent patina.
The Idoma are people who mainly live in the lower western areas of the Benue State, in Nigeria. Related groups can be found in the States of Cross River, Enugu and Nasarawa, in Nigeria. There are great similarities regarding the traditions and wooden sculptures of the abovementioned neighbouring tribes.
