Description
United States of America - Rare WW2 - Home-front Cardboard Window Banner - ''Son in Service'' - One Son in Service
Original - Excellent condition

Up for auction is a sturdy cardboard son in service hanger with the markings ''over there'' (i.e., present at the front during WW2) and the USA flag. It has one stars, denoting that one son was in the service during WW2. Great patina, 100% original and I never seen this version in cardboard before!

A service flag or service banner is a banner that family members of those serving in the United States Armed Forces could display during World War 2. The flag or banner is officially defined as a white field with a red border, with a blue star for each family member serving in the Armed Forces of the United States during WW2 (see attached photo's made during WW2!)

Great and rare 100% original item for your US WW2 collection!
