Emerson,Lake & Palmer–Emerson,Lake & Palmer (Japan first Issue)

-in 1970, The Nice keyboardist Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, bassist and singer of King Crimson, founded the band together with Carl Palmer, the drummer of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Atomic Rooster.

Originally Jimi Hendrix was also planned as a band member, so HELP was given as the expected band name in British press articles - however, this formation never came about, ultimately due to Hendrix’s death in September 1970, and ELP was left as the band name!

The trio made its debut at the Isle of Wight Festival, and this appearance was followed by a supergroup career.
