Excellent - 1877

Old GRAS rifle, model 1866, converted 74 (gas release safety), made by Manufacture de Saint Etienne in 1877, civilian conversion to calibre 24.

It works well mechanically with clear percussion.

- lovely marking and hallmarks by St Etienne.
- barrel/breech with tanning, slightly lightened in places but still homogeneous and in nice condition (interior/exterior).
- polished steel trims, hallmarked, numbered screws.
- lovely light walnut mount, solid and in very good condition (small lack on the top of the recoil pad, see photos).
- rod canal blocked during its last conversion.

Very interesting old regulatory infantry rifle, civilian conversion, with its small handling marks and signs of wear but still in very good condition.
