Coming from a private radio museum, a beautiful bakelite
The Magnavox Corporation was founded in 1908 in the United States, withe the purpose of producing speakers.
After the Second World War, they switched to consumer electronics. In 1974, the company was acquired by Philips.
This Magnavox speaker was manufactured by “Raymond Ltd. Electric in England” in 1930.
The speaker is virtually in mint condition and works excellently.
The bakelite cabinet has no scratches or tears and is beautifully shiny.
The special thing about this speaker is that this one is both low and high impedance.
For this, there are five options, being:
Choice 1 gives 1 ohm
Choice 2 gives 1,2 ohms
Choice 3 gives 200 ohms
Choice 4 gives 300 ohms
Choice 5 gives 400 ohms
By means of moving the plug, one can easily choose.
There also is a volume switch.
Connection cord is included.
