Ancient Roman Bronze Winged Medusa Head applique - (1)
1st - 2nd century AD

Heavy bronze large circular applique with a winged head of Medusa with curly hair in high relief. The applique shows very nice details and strong expression.
The applique is mounted on a display using the original punched attachment holes.

Diameter: 67,7 mm (without display)
Thickness: 23,6 mm (without display)

Condition: Good solid condition, appealing olive green patina. Signs of wear consistent with an ancient artefact. Display is included in the sale. See images for own impression.
