This magnificent church hand basin is in brocade red Verona marble. It dates back to the 19th century and comes from an antique church in Venice. The item consists of two modules. It is worth mentioning the hand-carved pod-shaped decoration (‘baccellatura’).
A wonderful piece and one-of-a-kind item! Very rare for its beauty and perfect condition: both parts are fully intact.
The ‘Verona’ is one of the most valuable and prestigious existing types of marble. Both the basin shape and especially the phenomenal marble vein and colour are particularly remarkable, in an extremely uncommon shade of red.
Excellent workmanship, fine, elegant, perfect and intact in all its parts.
It can be used in different ways, even as outdoor or indoor fountain.
In case of shipping, it will be delivered in a wooden crate, after proper packaging.
