Description
Chair: "Chiavarina" Cherry / Walnut / Beech (2) - Wood. / woven straw - Late 19th century
Italy

Inspired by and reworking trends attributable to the Empire style, the Chiavarina chair was born in the early 1800s and is considered one of the great successes of Ligurian craftsmanship.
Particularly appreciated until 1970, today it is still highly sought after for retro and vintage furnishings thanks to its smooth decorative harmony.
The 2 chairs have been restored in the wooden parts and chromed, one in gold/bronze, and the second in silver/light silver, a reinterpretation in bright colours which can be combined with many styles of furniture.
Original straw with small signs of ageing and slight age-related signs of wear and tear in the gold/bronze version.
No sign of wear in the silver version.
They are proposed together with two handmade cushions designed to complete the colour contrast, in washable velvet fabric and complete with a convenient zipper.
