Mark Klett is known for his photographs of desert landscapes, located in the southwestern of the United States, following 19th-century lighting conditions and photographers such as William Henry Jackson or Timothy O'Sullivan.
These photos represent changes in landscape, in aesthetics, in representation and in perception. Klett
He has collaborated with several artists, including Byron Wolfe, with whom he has carried out photographic projects in the Grand Canyon, Yosemire and other historical landscapes. He has also worked in Portugal, where he has photographed vineyards and views in the Douro River region, and in Japan, where he has photographed the debris of the Kobe earthquake
His work is exhibited in major museums such as the MOMA in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art or the Victoria an Albert Museum in London.
