A lovely set of three identical plates, 18th century.
Very neat rounded octogonal shape, thin porcelain, outer edge finished in cafe-au-lait enamel.
The main painted decoration, within a rich border with flowers, pomegranates and rocaille motifs, portrays magnolia trees in bloom, antique vases with scrolls and mushrooms, peonies and butterflies.
The colors are specially vibrant: underglaze cobalt blue in different shades, overglaze copper red and pink enamel, with gold accents throughout.
Very good condition, only very minor frittings consistent with age.
