Collector's item: Dutch-made, famous ‘Teardrop Guitar’ from the Egmond factory from the early period of Rock ‘n Roll. Straight neck, not damaged and everything works. Sunburst.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Egmond built electric guitars for nearly every pop group. In 1935, Egmond already built acoustic guitars in series. Egmond built electric guitars for all who wanted to play a guitar of bass guitar, but did not have enough money to afford a Höfner, Framus, Hoyer or Klira, let alone a Burns, Fender or Gibson. Almost every pop group (including the Stones & Beatles) played Egmond guitars (both George Harrison and Brian May from Queen are known to have owned an Egmond as their first guitar). Later, the brand disappeared silently because of wrong policy choices. The Art Museum The Hague has an entire collection of Egmond guitars.
