A colourful, large Swatow bowl, Ming Dynasty (aprox. 1600), in typical colors and shape.
34,7 cm diameter, 9,7 cm height.
Sturdily potted out of pink/orange clay, covered with a thick glaze, old ivory in color and with a very fine, minute craquelé on the whole surface. Copper red and green floral motives, calligraphically painted. A good luck symbol in the centre.
Reasonable condition, consistent with age and usage, one crack, chips and frittings on the rim.
